Wash after every wear

Warm water and a drop of mild soap, fingertips only. No cloth, no sponge, no scrubbing — anything abrasive ruins the adhesive face. Rinse until the water runs clear of soap.

Air dry, adhesive side up

Lay the piece face up on its storage film and let it dry in the open air. Never use a towel or tissue on the sticky side; the fibres it picks up are exactly what stops it gripping next time.

Store it on the film

Back on the film, flat, away from dust, direct sun and radiators. Dust is what kills an adhesive insert, not use. Kept properly, a pair lasts up to 50 wears.

When the grip fades

Wash it again before you decide it is finished. Nine times out of ten a proper wash brings the tack back. If it still will not hold after that, it has reached the end of its life.

Your skin

Give your skin a night off between wears where you can, and skip lotion on the day you plan to wear an insert. If you have ever reacted to a plaster, test a small piece on your forearm for an hour first.
